VP JALLOH ENGAGES FALABA & KOINADUGU ON COVID-19 FIGHT

In his continued tour across the country to assess progress made in the ongoing fight against the Covid–19 disease, Vice President Dr. Juldeh Jalloh today 18th June 2020 visited the northern provincial districts of Falaba and Koinadugu where he held consultative meetings with the different stakeholders in the fight.

As a member of the Covid-19 response Presidential Task Force, VP Jalloh said his visit was to engage local stakeholders to obtain firsthand experience on the local structures established to effectively respond to the fight, evaluate their various roles, observations and challenges faced.

The VP said, his visit was also to listen to the perspectives of local stakeholders; including councils, Paramount Chiefs, the forces, women, youths in respect of the accomplishments by the local structures and to inform improved actions.

The VP underlined the role and the numerous efforts government has made both at the national, regional and district levels to fight COVID-19.  He used the occasion to catalogue several efforts government has taken to bolster the national fight against COVID-19.

The VP also visited the Kabala District hospital to inspire the staff and observe the facility.
