August 7th 2020 marks the 4th year commemoration of Sierra Leone’s dynamic leader and heroes, Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika, who went to a journey of no returns in August 7th 2016.
‘Super’ as he was fondly called is a Sierra Leonean philanthropist that had a profound effect on people from all walks of life. His outstanding works and leadership abilities motivated and inspired a generation and his incredible work for humanity was renowned and powerful.
Moseray Fadika’s inspirational work to uplift and alleviate the sufferings of the disadvantaged people of Sierra Leone, and his work for a prosperous, peaceful and United Sierra Leone, continues to permeate throughout the country and around the world. Moseray Fadika was internationally recognised as one of Africa’s Global Icons, Commonwealth Africa Initiative Goodwill Ambassador, Business Magnate, Investor, and Philanthropist. He was indeed a man of the people.
The Moseray Fadika Trust Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded by Moseray Fadika to promote his vision of peace, prosperity and equality for all. The Trust Foundation, supported by Moseray Fadika’s wife, Mrs. Cathy Kadiatu Fadika, his three daughters: Tigidankay, Nancy and Marie, alongside a dedicated team of trustees, friends, supporters and other family members have collaborated to commemorate Moseray Fadika on the 4th anniversary of his passing, ensuring his legacy lives on.
The Trust Foundation has planned and partnered on a number of key programmes and initiatives over the years as a call to people from all walks of life to help keep Moseray Fadika’s legacy alive by embodying his values, and continuing to support his important work. In partnership with the international organisation- Waves for Change based in South Africa with the Wave Alliance in Sierra Leone, the Moseray Fadika Trust Foundation currently runs a Surf Therapy programme, working with children and youth on a weekly basis at the Aberdeen beach community and as well as supporting other local communities. These young people are exposed to some social, economic and environmental challenges. The Moseray Fadika Trust Foundation provides a safe space, caring mentors, fun activities, coping and lifelong skills, and uses an evidence- based surf therapy programme to support these young people to become bold, confident, and positive role models in their community as well as being able to overcome challenges in their life and have good mental health. Moseray Fadika has left with us—in Sierra Leone and around the world — an incredible legacy of peace, love, unity, equality, support for the poor. To the people of Sierra Leone, and friends from around the world, we thank you for the continued support, for the prayers and for remembering and honouring a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and iconic leader, Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika. He was a great human being, one of Africa’s global icons who changed many lives – and that makes him our beloved Super.
