In recent months, the world has been faced with the Corovirus pandemic COVID-19. The virus has already infected and killed hundreds of thousands of people across the world.
Members of the Civil Rights Defenders have concerns about the spread of this pandemic that the world has been confronted with.
Despite the numerous efforts by the World Leaders to contain the spreads of the disease, there are unfortunately a rising increase of confirmed cases.
On behalf of the Directorate and members of Civil Right Defenders, I hereby offer out heartfelt condolences to the world and wish a speedy recovery to those affected by the virus.
The Civil Rights Defenders is fully committed to supporting the Government of Sierra Leone in their efforts to curb this pandemic.
I would like to call on the general public to comply with the directives issued by health authorities and observe basic hygiene instructions.
Together and in solidarity, we shall defeat COVID-19.
