There was a dramatic scene at Kortright on Thursday as the ACC Scorpion Squad stormed the residence of Dr. Minkailu Bah, former Minister of Education for ten years under Ernest Bai Koroma on the instructions of Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala. Sources in the ACC claim that Dr. Bah had failed to respond to summons to appear to the ACC and answer questions concerning the Limkokwing University Scandalous Scholarship which he had signed causing the government to be enmeshed in unnecessary debt.
Dr. Bah spent several hours on that precious afternoon at the ACC where he is being principally investigated for his role in creating the Limkokwing mess that now has become a problem for the current government.
Family sources of Dr. Minkailu Bah have confirmed that he has been released by the ACC to his lawyers and he is to appear at the Commission on Monday to continue answering questions. It is believed many other persons will be drawn in because the Bio Administration is not pleased with the scholarship scheme that sees the government pay $3000 for students in a private university.
Attempts to reach the ACC PRO for confirmation the arrest were futile but the arrest was confirmed by Dr. Bah’s family and lawyers.
