Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omudu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban and a leading flagbearer aspirant for the All Peoples Congress (APC) party, observed the Jumu’ah prayer at Masjid Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah Grey Bush (Clay Ground), Ascension Town, Freetown, on November 21, 2025. His presence was warmly acknowledged by the congregation.

During the sermon, Imam Sheikh Fouad Koroma welcomed Jagaban and expressed gratitude for his attendance. The Imam spoke on the importance of sadaqah (charity) and the observance of the five daily prayers, after which he humbly requested Jagaban’s support for the ongoing construction of the Masjid.

Representing the Jama’at, Mr. Abubakarr Koroma also extended a heartfelt welcome to Jagaban and his team. He described Jagaban’s visit as a blessing for the community and appealed for his assistance in completing the Masjid’s construction project.
Jagaban thanked the Imam and the entire Jama’at for their warm welcome and highlighted the importance of two key Islamic practices: performing the five daily prayers and giving sadaqah. He encouraged everyone to give whatever they can without hesitation, reminding them that Allah knows their capabilities and rewards generosity. He also urged the congregation to remain committed to charity and prayer, noting that even unused items in their homes could be given as sadaqah.

Jagaban donated NLe 50,000 to support the ongoing construction of the Masjid, expressing hope that through collective effort, the construction would be completed soon, InshaAllah. He concluded his remarks by reciting Ayatul Kursi.
The congregation appreciated Jagaban’s gesture and welcomed his contribution to the Masjid’s construction project.
