In a world where women’s voices were too often softened, one woman’s courage echoed across Africa.
When Dr. Fatima Maada Bio became First Lady, many expected her to limit her work to ceremonies. Instead, she stepped boldly into history championing laws, saving girls from early marriage, defending survivors of sexual violence, and raising Sierra Leone’s name with honor.
Her leadership grew so strong that all of Africa chose her as the President of OAFLAD, trusting her to represent millions of women and children across the continent.
One African leader remarked:
“If she can lead Africa’s First Ladies, she can lead any nation.”
