Aïcha Touré, a seasoned telecommunications executive with a proven track record of driving innovation and financial inclusion, has been welcomed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone. The ceremony, held at the company’s Hill Station headquarters, marked a significant milestone in the company’s leadership transition, as Touré succeeds Sekou Amadou Bah, who oversaw the company’s growth and expansion.

Touré’s appointment is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and expertise in telecommunications, technology, and financial services. With over 12 years of international experience, she has established herself as a champion of digital and financial inclusion across Africa. Her tenure as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Orange Mali and CEO of Orange Money Mali has been marked by notable achievements, including the expansion of 4G services, fibre connectivity, and energy access.

During her tour of Orange Sierra Leone’s facilities, Touré interacted with staff and expressed her enthusiasm for working collaboratively to achieve the company’s strategic goals. Employees assured her of their commitment to driving the company’s vision forward.
A holder of a Master’s degree in Engineering from Centrale Supélec and an Executive MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Sloan Fellow, Touré is widely recognised for her strong leadership and commitment to advancing digital and financial inclusion across Africa.

With her wealth of experience and visionary leadership, Touré is poised to propel Orange Sierra Leone to new heights, driving innovation, expanding digital access, and fostering economic growth. Her expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company’s strategy to deliver seamless, cutting-edge services, enhance financial inclusion, and contribute meaningfully to Sierra Leone’s socio-economic development, aligning with national priorities and empowering communities across the country.
