The Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), Mrs Jeneba J. Bangura, met with representatives of commercial banks to enhance collaboration and support effective revenue administration. She praised the banks for their role in achieving the 2025 revenue targets and stressed the importance of fully implementing the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Key discussion points included improving the integration of the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) with banking platforms to boost efficiency, transparency, and reduce transaction delays. Mrs Bangura also highlighted communication gaps and called for improved information sharing between the NRA and commercial banks.
Commissioners from the NRA’s operational departments shared perspectives on strengthening coordination, while the President of the Sierra Leone Association of Commercial Banks, Mr Mohamed Alhaji Samoura, reaffirmed the banks’ commitment to continued cooperation.
Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration, system integration, and communication to enhance revenue collection and administration.
