Guma Building, Freetown — Friday, 21 November 2025 The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay, on Friday hosted senior figures from the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) for constructive talks centered on Sierra Leone’s ongoing constitutional and electoral reform processes.

The engagement, held at the Guma Building in Freetown, formed part of the government’s commitment to fostering bipartisan dialogue on matters of national interest.

According to the Attorney General, the meeting underscored the shared responsibility of all political actors to ensure that the constitutional review and the implementation of the Tripartite Committee recommendations remain transparent, inclusive, and reflective of the will of the people.

Mr. Sesayemphasised that both Government and the APC recognised the need for reforms that are people-centered and broadly participatory. He noted that national processes of this magnitude must be credible and fully owned by citizens to strengthen democratic governance.

“The Government looks forward to continuing these engagements with all parties. We will do this for Sierra Leone,” he affirmed.

The discussions are expected to continue in the coming weeks as the country advances efforts to consolidate democratic gains and build consensus around key governance reforms.
