The leading flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, Sheikh Alhaji Chief Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, demonstrated strong leadership and a deep grassroots connection at the APC National Mammoth Meeting held at Attouga Field in Clinetown.
In a symbolic show of humility and solidarity, Jagaban walked from his residence along Kissy Road to Attouga Field, warmly greeting large crowds of supporters along the way. The walk was met with cheers, songs, and chants, reflecting the deep trust and admiration the people have for his leadership.
Upon his arrival, the field became electrified as thousands of supporters celebrated for hours, chanting slogans in support of Jagaban and calling for the APC’s return to power in 2028. The massive turnout highlighted his growing popularity and acceptance within the party.
Party leaders also delivered strong political messages. The APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., highlighted key issues based on the recommendations of the Tripartite Committee’s Implementation. He stated that the current government is not willing to cooperate with the implementation guide and called on all APC supporters and Sierra Leoneans to be aware.
The Acting National Chairman, Dr. Alhaji Ambassador Osman Foday Yansanneh, described the party as being at a critical stage and reaffirmed the APC’s rejection of the Proportional Representation (PR) system.
After the meeting, Jagaban again walked through Cline Town to his residence, where he thanked supporters for their loyalty and encouraged unity and hope. His actions reinforced his image as a humble and accessible leader, while the Cline Town Mammoth Meeting marked a strong sign that the APC base is energized and preparing for 2028 under his leadership.
