Amongst them are twenty government ministers who served in former President Ernest Bai Koroma’s administration, according to the Commissions of Inquiry’s (CoI) Report.
At the Ministry of Education alone, US$ 95 million remain unaccounted for.
Two former bank governors, three Members of Parliament and ten Permanent Secretaries, are among the 84 indicted by the CoI.
The Report says, about Le 323 billion and US$ 94 million were misappropriated and unaccounted for under the Koroma-led administration.
President Julius Maada Bio is now expected to present the Report to his Cabinet; from there, a ‘White Paper’ emerges. From the date the White Paper is made public, a period of 30 days will be issued to either pay back or get property confiscated.
All are banned from holding public office for a time span of 5 years.
