Chief Justice’s Chambers, Freetown, 26th November, 2025: The Director of Defense for Children International, Mr. Abdul Manaff Kemokai, during his courtesy visit to the Honourable Chief Justice Komba Kamanda, expressed gratitude for the Chief Justice’s inspirational leadership and his growing commitment to improving the justice system for children in conflict with the law.
Mr. Kemokai applauded the Chief Justice’s ongoing efforts to strengthen juvenile justice and highlighted the positive impact of recent reforms aimed at protecting vulnerable children within the legal system.
In response, Chief Justice Kamanda welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Judiciary’s dedication to safeguarding children’s rights. He assured that he would fast-track initiatives that enhance access to justice for juveniles, noting that the welfare of children remains a priority under his administration.
The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with both parties expressing willingness to deepen collaboration to ensure a fairer and more child-friendly justice system.
