On Tuesday, 28th October 2025, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, Sierra Leone’s Energy lead, graced the ongoing National Sports Authority (NSA) organised inter-Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDA) football gala at the National Stadium Practice Field.
Dr. Yumkella applauded the NSA leadership, led by Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, for initiating the gala, saying it promotes social cohesion and unity among government employees and MDAs. “This is a good initiative from the National Sports Authority (NSA) under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai and his team. The gala creates social cohesion among government employees and fosters unity among MDAs,” Dr. Yumkella stated.
During the match between the Audit Service Sierra Leone and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Yumkella was joined by Director Frankly Fawundu from the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Deputy Auditor-General Ministries, Departments, and Local Authorities, Mr. Morie Lansana, for the official kick-off ceremony.
Group C matches played on Tuesday ended with EPA thrashed 3 Nil by EDSA whereas, Ministry of Foreign Affairs defeated Audit Service Sierra Leone by 2 Nil.
The event highlights the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity among government employees and MDAs.
