“We all know that EDSA will go into concession in a few months’ time and we need a Director General who will seize the historical momentum and provide the much needed leadership for the transformation,” he said, adding that George Taylor was coming with a rich background and experience as a banker who had presided over a couple of stunning transformations in sectors and departments he headed.
Mr. Grant went further to say that the new Director General was taking up office at a time when EDSA was beset with a variety of daunting challenges, ranging from employee issues to financial drawbacks.

He told the new DG to always count on the support of the Board and reminding him of the enormity of the task that lies ahead.
Outgoing Acting Director General of EDSA, Tesman Egbe thanked stakeholders for the support and guidance he enjoyed during his tenure while also highlighting the unprecented gains that manifested under his leadership.
The new Director General George Taylor, was quick to come to terms with the arduous nature of his new task noting that things were not too rosy at the utility.
