On Thursday, 13th November 2025, the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) convened an orientation session with about 20 members of adolescent and youth-led organizations at UNICEF Headquarters, New England Ville in Freetown.

This engagement is part of a series of stakeholder consultations leading up to the upcoming HPV-MAC vaccination campaign, targeting girls aged 11–18 years.

Recognizing the vital role of young people as trusted advocates, EPI emphasized the importance of their platforms in popularizing the campaign, cascading accurate information about the vaccine, and dispelling myths and misconceptions within communities.

The youth representatives expressed strong commitment to championing the campaign across their networks and communities, ensuring that every corner of society is reached with the right message.
