Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya Media Team disclaiming an article written by one Jonah of the sun media unit (affiliate to AASMEG) titled: “what has the limba tribal heads that went to state house on the pretext of limba support to president bio done to save their son?” in a Press release on 30th March 2020.
That the attention of Hon. Manso media team has been drawn to the above-named article (making the rounds on social media) in which the author, either out of ignorance and or deliberate plot to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya with a claim that since the Honourable together with Chief B. S. Bangura (the western area limba tribal head) and Hon. Peter Bayuku Conteh led a huge number of limba people sometime in 2019 to pledge the support and loyalty of the limba ethnic group to his excellency president Julius Maada bio and his new direction government, they should defend one of their sons of the limba ethnic group who is being investigated by the sierra leone police for an alleged crime he committed. thus, the author states, “….none of this so-called limba who are in authority made an attempt in seeking the welfare of their son….” hence, he went further to state that “….Mr. Manso Dumbuya and Peter Bayuku Conteh I urge you to step up and act fast….”
In light of the above, hon. Manso media team will like to make the following known to the author and the general public:
The limba ethnic group is a law-abiding tribe. Therefore, any (limba) individual who is found wanting by the law, should face the legal trial to prove his/her innocence even though we may sympathize + with and care for them.
The limba ethnic group is willing and ready to work with the government of the day: the new direction government of his Excellency president Julius Maada Bio being no exception to this.
The name is Hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya is highly respected throughout Sierra Leone, and therefore, cannot be mortgaged for anything or anyone that is against the law.
In conclusion, the media team of the hon. Manso Abu Dumbuya will like to warn the author to desist from such posts that have negative tribal connotations.
Moreover, the Honourable believes that the laws of Sierra Leone are superior to all; hence, they must be respected.
