In his second leg of visitation in terms of promoting Corona Virus sensitization to his Constituency, Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers took along food items for the vulnerable.
Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers of Constituency 102 over the weekend continued his Corona Virus sensitization across his constituency.
He informed his constituents that the outbreak of Covid-19 is a dreadful one therefore they should take it very serious.
He explained that he engaged his ward Councilors about the process and urged them to distribute the food items free of cost to the vulnerable groups.
Hon. Rogers used the opportunity to advise his constituent to abide by the laws of the government as that will help to contain the spread of the Virus.
He disclosed that, not a single cent was disbursed to any Member of Parliament as a means of promoting and sensitization campaign but one that is coming from their pockets.
Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers’s constituency covers four chiefdoms Kpaka, Kpanga Krim, Mano Sakrim and YKK, Pujehun districts in Southern Sierra Leone constituency.
During his first leg of visitation, Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers donated cartons of Power Medicated Soap, Give bathing Soap, over 40 Veronica buckets, 5 sets of Megaphones, 2 set of hand pumps and 2 sets of 100W Polycrystalline Solar Panels.
He also donated one solar set to the Massam Town Hospital in Kpaka Chiefdoms which was received by the SLPP Constituency Chairman, Sallia B. Sillah, while the SLPP Women’s Leader, Madam Jenneh Gbonda received the veronica buckets among other items.
He also visited Bayama community where he donated one set of hand water pump and inspected the water project which is the first in the history of Bayama.
The honorable went on to say that it was part of his responsibility to better inform his people about any development and for them to be on the alert.
The recipients of the donated food items were pleased with the move taken by Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers. They described him as man of his people as he often visit them and give them supports.
They described the donation as timely and pray for God’s provision to continue to flow on Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers.
