Owing to the near conclusion of his school construction project at Faandu village in the Kono district and the pending reopening of schools, the Caucus Leader of the C4C Party, Honourable SAA EMERSON LAMINA, visited his school construction site at Faandu Village where work is rapidly in progress in a bid to organize a meeting with the Community People.
The purpose of the meeting according to the honourable member of Parliament was to consult with the community people by allowing them make suggestions on the name of the newly constructed school, type of uniform to be used, the colour of paint needed for the buildings and the formation of the community Teachers Association (CTA).
The meeting attracted statements from a lot of speakers among which are, The Chief, Aiah .B Kooneh who thanked the Honourable Member and noted that the Hon. Member has carved a monument that will forever remain in the anals of history because he has done what no one has ever done in the history of Faandu Village.
All the twenty five zonal heads of Constituency 030 were presented, and the Chairman, Mr. Agibu Koineh vigorously thanked the Honourable Member for such a huge contribution to the human resource industry of Faandu Village and Kono District as a whole. Sahr M. Ellie, The Deputy Chief of Faandu Village also graciously thanked the Honourable Member and blessed him for thinking Faandu.
The Honourable Member himself talked on the effect of hate speech and reechoed the need to uphold political tolerance, peace and unity. He encouraged all C4C Party Members to kick against illegal sacking, illegal arrest and detention of youth and to kick against unnecessary divisions because these were the things that led to the formation of the C4C Party. The meeting is climaxed with the Community People taking a walk to the school compound and ended off the whole procession with a pleasing dance to the near completion of the school project.
