Jagaban Assures Teachers & Nurses- Promises Payroll Justice

The Association of Non-Pin Coders Teachers and Nurses paid a courtesy visit to the leading flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed ‘Omodu’ Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, they were warmly received by the Chairman of the Jagaban Movement, Mr Abass Sesay. During the visit, the association presented the major challenges faced by its members in their respective professions.

The National Co-ordinator of the association of Non-Pin Colders Teachers and Nurses Mr. Abdul Kabia, revealed that the association has over 2,000 registered members, many of them have worked for more than twenty years without salaries, and appealed for support to be placed on the government payroll. The nurses representative, Mrs Hawa Sesay, also highlighted the hardship of working daily to save lives without pay, emphasizing the struggles of meeting family responsibilities under such conditions.

The Spokesman for the Jagaban Movement, Mr Saidu Gibril ‘Buzzom’ Kamara, updated supporters on key humanitarian projects led by Jagaban, including the arrival of buses and ferries, the installation of solar streetlights, and the introduction of Jagaban bikes to ease transport and energy challenges nationwide. He formally presented Jagaban to the gathering, who received him with excitement and songs of celebration.

In his address, Jagaban described the 2028 elections as crucial for Sierra Leone’s future. He praised the developmental legacy of former President Ernest Bai Koroma and encouraged APC members to actively participate in grassroots party activities, stressing unity, progress, and collective responsibility in rebuilding the nation.

Jagaban also highlighted his long-standing humanitarian efforts, such as feeding prisoners every Friday, and announced plans to officially launch the Sierra Leone Association of Non-Pin Coders Teachers and Nurses on 1 April 2026. He pledged that after the launch, all Non-Pin Coders across the country would be placed on the payroll and assured them that their concerns would be addressed.
