On Friday October 24, 2025, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Omudu Kamara, known as Jagaban, went to Jumm’ah prayer at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosque at Funkia, Goderich.
Upon his arrival, the Chief Imam, Muvvi Sulaiman Bangura, and the entire Muslim congregation warmly welcomed him.
During the Khutubah, the Imam thanked Jagaban for been there and praised his leadership. He highlighted Jagaban’s support for the Muslim community and his contributions to the development of Sierra Leone.
The Imam stressed the need for unity, love, and peace among Muslims and throughout the nation, referencing the Holy Qur’an.
In response, Jagaban expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He echoed the Imam’s message, emphasizing the importance of peace, love, and unity for the growth and stability of Sierra Leone. He promised to contribute to the ongoing construction project with a donation of NLE 40,000 and six boats for the two fishing communities.
The visit sparked enthusiasm, as thousands of supporters and community members welcomed Jagaban, chanting his name. The chairman for constituency 109, Mr. Yusuf Loleh Sesay thanked Jagaban for his visit and his investments in the community. He expressed confidence in Jagaban’s leadership.
