The Jagaban Babies carried out a comprehensive cleaning exercise at the Koidu School for the Blind in Kono. This activity was conducted on behalf of Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban. The team cleaned the dormitories, bathrooms, staff room, and the entire school compound. The purpose of this initiative was to ensure that visually impaired students enjoy a clean, healthy, and refreshing environment that supports better living conditions.
During the exercise, the Chairlady of the Jagaban Babies Mrs. HawaTamba expressed compassion for the students, emphasizing that Jagaban believes all people, whether sighted or visually impaired, are equal in the eyes of God. She noted that the blind deserve dignity and a clean environment, which is why Jagaban fully supported and initiated this gesture.
In response, the proprietor, Mr. Gbasha, expressed deep gratitude, explaining that the school has long struggled with maintaining cleanliness due to the students’ visual limitations.
Mr. Gbasha added that the cleaning exercise has brought fresh air, improved living conditions, and strengthened the health of the students. He described Jagaban as the only political flagbearer aspirant who has shown genuine leadership by acknowledging and supporting the blind community. He concluded by appealing for continued assistance, including food, clothing, and financial support, and prayed for God’s blessings upon Jagaban in his political journey.
