Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, visited Levuma Village to extend his heartfelt sympathy to the family of the late Paramount Chief Teresa Memuna Vibe, who passed away on October 17, 2025. His visit was marked by deep respect and a solemn tribute to a leader whose influence continues to be felt across the nation.
In his statement, Jagaban emphasized that his visit was motivated by compassion rather than politics. He reiterated that he had come solely to console the bereaved family and to honour the late Paramount Chief. He also spoke about the once-thriving Cocoa Show, highlighting its historical importance to agricultural development and expressing his desire to help restore Kenema’s former glory.
As a gesture of solidarity, Jagaban presented fifty thousand leones (NLe 50,000) to the grieving family and spoke warmly of the late chief’s life of service. He reflected on the close relationship the Paramount Chief shared with his father and encouraged the family to remain strong, assuring them that he now considers himself part of their extended family.
During the event, APC District Chairman Prince Kamara praised the late chief’s dedication to the party, noting that she had offered her home as the district office. Section Chief Pa Moray expressed gratitude on behalf of the community, describing the late chief as a motherly figure and appealing to Jagaban for support in providing electricity and promoting social development within Kandu Legebyama Chiefdom.
