MAFS Holds Maiden Agri-Food Investors Summit

Tuesday, 28th October 2025 | The Ministry of Agriculture successfully hosted the first-ever  Sierra Leone Agri-Food Investors Summit at the New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown, marking a major milestone in efforts to attract investment and innovation in the country’s agricultural sector.

The summit attracted hosts of investors, both local and international and was widely applauded as a critical step in advancing President Julius Maada Bio’s “Feed Salone” agenda, which aims to make Sierra Leone food-secure and self-reliant.

The summit also spotlighted the leadership of Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, Minister of Agriculture, for his effective implementation of the President’s Feed Salone agenda.

A major highlight was a panel discussion on “Investment Opportunities in Sierra Leone” moderated by Dr. KandehKollehYumkella, Chairman of PI-CREF, featuring high-level speakers, including the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Kpaka, The Minister of Trade and Industries, Mr. Alpha Sesay, World Bank Country Manager and other private sector investors, discussing the investment opportunities in the country’s agriculture space.
