NASSIT’s Head of Public Affairs Appointed to Continental Advisory Committee

The Head of Public Affairs of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mohamed Bangalie, has received a prestigious appointment as a member of the National Advisory Committee for the World Public Relations Summit 2026. This significant event will be held in Nigeria, organized under the auspices of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

In a formal letter addressed to Mr. Bangalie, Dr. Ike Neliaku, the President and Chairman of the Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, highlighted that the Continental Advisory Council (CAC) serves as a Pan-African framework designed to guide and advise the National Planning Committee in the successful hosting of the 2026 Forum in Abuja, Nigeria. Membership in the CAC comprises key figures such as Chairmen and Presidents of National Public Relations Associations or Institutes across Africa, promoting collaboration among communication professionals.

Dr. Neliaku emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “In recognition of Africa’s growing role in global communication, the Continental Advisory Committee has been established as a Pan-Africanist framework to provide strategic guidance and continental collaboration in support of the successful hosting of WPRF 2026.”

Mr. Bangalie expressed his gratitude for this honour, stating, “I appreciate this noble gesture from the doyen of public relations in Africa. I am committed to elevating Sierra Leone’s profile in the field of public relations and communication management.” His determination reflects not only a personal ambition but also a broader vision to enhance NASSIT’s image and societal acceptance of trust within the community.

With Mr. Bangalie as Head of Public Affairs, NASSIT, has made significant strides in transforming its public image.
