Prof Abdulla Mansaray the Vice-Chancellor of Njala University together with the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Court Professor Bob Kandeh have been dismissed from their offices on Wednesday, 1st April 2020
According to Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Turad Senessie the two has “not been working in the interest of the university”.
Prof Mansaray has confirmed his dismissal saying he got his letter a few days ago that he had to leave with immediate effect. He said he’d cleated up his desk and he is ready to leave. He’s to be succeeded in an interim capacity by Prof Osman Sankoh aka Mallam O – the country’s statistician general.
While Prof Bob Kandeh couldn’t be reached at the main time by our reporter but sources say he’s to be succeeded by Prof Arthur Abraham.
The dismissal came after the recruitment of the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors of the university, much against the liking of the two political heads of the ministry of higher education with an allegation to strike against the government regarding their emolument as ASA.
