The biggest and People’s bank in Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited (SLCB) has today Monday 15th February, 2021 clocked forty eight years (48) with excellent and modern banking services for its customers.
SLCB has made its niche in the banking industry with the offering of many products and services to the satisfaction of its customers. The hundred percent Sierra Leonean bank has positively impacted the lives of people by empowering local entrepreneurs, industries, agricultural production, commerce as well as petty traders which was the greatest motive behind its establishment by the Government.
Since its inception in 1973, the bank has continued to grow in strength as the largest commercial financial house in the country.
As the anniversary will not be celebrated as usual amid the covid-19 pandemic, the board, management and staff of the establishment will be reflecting on its successes and challenges of being a successful financial institution in the country.
With no gainsay, the bank under the leadership of the current Managing Director, Abdul Fidelis Turay and his Deputy Managing Director, Bockarie Kalokoh, has been given year-in- year the required dividend. This is as a result of the Bank’s trajectory moving upward.
