Fredick Lansana commonly known as Allayluya and Wife Mabinty Lansana appear at Court No 3
Mr Fredick Lansana, who works at the Sierra Leone Correctional services attached to the Pademba Road Prision, ON C/R NO: 618/2021 (SLCS ), and his wife, Mabinty Lansana are standing trial at the Ross Road Magistrate Court No. 3, which is presided over by Magistrate Hadiru Daboh, for allegedly insulting, Threathen and assaulting Madam Joyce Monrovia, who also doubles as the complaint therein, in a manner thereby causing her grievous bodily harm.
The incident occurred on the 1st January, 2021, at No. 100 Upper Philip Street, Wellington, in Freetown.
The accused are arraigned before the court on five counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, insulting language , provocation, threatening language and others related offences, which are all contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
The police charge sheet adduces that Chief Frederick Lansans alais Alaluyah and Mabinty Lansana, on Friday 1st January, 2021, at No. 100 Upper Philip Street, Wellington, in Freetown, assaulted Madam Joyce Monrovia, in a manner thereby causing her grievous bodily harm.

The charge sheet furthered that both accused persons, on the same date and address, insulted and assaulted Victor Sahr Conteh, in his annoyance to committ breach of the peace.
According to the police, both accused persons, same date and address, in presence of the complaint, Joyce Monrovia, and the public, used abusive language against the complaint, in her annoyance to committ breach of the peace.
At this juncture, the police prosecutor, Sergeant 8534, Gibriella Sesay, sought for adjournment on the ground that he wanted to have a proper conference with his witness. His application was granted by the presiding Magistrate.
The Defence counsel, A M. Jalloh, applied for bail for and on behalf of his clients stating that the accused are ordinary residents within the jurisdiction, adding that they have realiabe sureties, who are willing and ready to enter into their conzinace.
The accused were placed on fifty million Leones (Le 50,000,000). Bail condition should be approved by Deputy Master and Registrar.
According to Mr. Daboh, bail was granted to the accused persons, because the police prosecutor, Gibriella Sesay, failed to file affidavits in opposing to bail.
The matter was adjourned to 18th February, 2021.
