Massive transformation is ongoing at the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) under the dynamic and astute leadership of Ibrahim Sannoh.
The Executive Director of Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), since his appointment to the said position, has been very proactive to ensuring that his institution delivers License and attends to customers promptly. From decentralizing the agency to the main provincial headquarters to ease the issuing and renewal of license, Ibrahim Sannoh has gone on to quickly deal with the issue of fake vehicle license with introduction of tamper-proof securitized ones that are issued within 72 hours. Believing in the intellect and ability of young people to help him bring much needed changes in the administration and management of the MDAs, President Bio in May 2020 appointed Ibrahim Sannoh to head SLRSA. Transformation of the country’s road safety authority then has been impressive according to the service users.
Other management reforms, the industrious executive director implemented include but not limited to the signing of MoU with SLP and leasing of land from MMCET at Goderich as compound for office space for impounded vehicles. In a meeting with stakeholders, Ibrahim Sannoh highlighted that SLRSA’s responsibility is to the people of Sierra Leone, adding that he was appointed by President Bio to ensure a better, well secured road network and transport system.
In a bid to accomplish that, he has established 13 offices countrywide, he sated saying that he is an administrator who believes in collaboration to achieve common objectives. He appeals to the media and all stakeholders to offer sustained support to him and SLRSA to regulate the transport sector to ensure road safety.
