Here we go again! Alusine & Alhassan lock horns over the Pistol Affair as deadly Coronavirus looms large over our logistically & economically disabled nation‼ Their notorious culture of toxic propaganda & political expedience through fraudulent constitutional manipulation has come alive again in this raging furore over Paolo Conteh’s pistol at State House.
The Government & its supporters are spitting fire over the discovery of a pistol with Poalo- a former Defence Minister at State House- on his way to an officially arranged meeting with The President & others regarding the virus. As expected, SLPPiers have mechanically construed this pistol affair as an attempt by Paolo to murder the President even though it’s being reported that the man voluntarily declared the item to State House Security. One presumes that he must have gone through Security before attending the meeting; so the fact that he was allowed in the meeting after declaring the weapon is proof that he was not deemed a security threat. So why the fuss; why raise this issue after the meeting? Are the Government & proxies deliberately creating a storm in a tea cup to indulge in revenge politics & enable the entrapment of a political rival?
But APC’s arrant hypocrisy is also sickening. The same dodgy tolongbos that hailed the last APC Government’s despotic harassment & detention of political rivals – like Kamarainba & KKY’s bodyguards- for carrying less offensive gadgets now defend their fellow APCier’s possession of a fully loaded pistol at State House‼ Also, Paolo’s APC’s intention in this affair is fishy. One accepts that Paolo would not even contemplate taking on PAOPA at State House alone with a pistol but it’s plausible that he covertly intended to create a disruptive diversion as the government tackles Corona. APC desperately wants this government to also fail in handling Corona like they did with Ebola.
So one summises that Paolo knew that the IMAGE of him having a pistol at State House will infuriate PAOPA that could then react disproportionally towards him and divert attention away from other vital national issues. This propaganda, they hope, will create empathy for APC. So the strategy of fomenting chaos by habitually instigating incidents that could provoke aggressive reaction from PAOPA is a deliberate recurring policy of a totally clueless & inept APC Opposition that has nothing constructive or useful to offer the nation by way of cogent policy articulation or assessment.
This is our current predicament as a nation; we’re suffocating trapped between the rock (APC) & a hard place (SLPP). Both are so bent on sustaining the same hopeless politics of revenge, trivia, and constitutional
Fraud & empty propaganda that it’s obvious they’re virtually beyond redemption from their chronic mentality.
