EcoBank Sierra Leone Limited and Icona London launched a landmark asset financing partnership on January 28th, 2026, at Icona’s new outlet on Wilkinson Road, Freetown, The collaboration aims to empower individuals and businesses with financial solutions for essential assets.
Sheikh Umaru Jalloh welcomed stakeholders, emphasizing the partnership’s role in driving economic growth. Kate Thompson, EcoBank’s Head of Consumer Banking, highlighted the “buy now, pay later” solution for home appliances and electronics, with up to 36 months installment, plans.
Icona’s Marketing Manager, Kai Pengusaquee, stressed affordability and nationwide accessibility. Country Director Jayesh Pradhi stated the partnership removes barriers, enabling flexible plans for essential products.
EcoBank’s Executive Director, Mr. Victor Williams, described, the ceremony as “a pact for progress and practical solutions,” driving financial inclusion and economic resilience.
Lucky winners took home prizes, including a refrigerator , 12,000 BTU AC unit , and laundry machine . Marion Sesay of EcoBank gave a vote of thanks, appreciating the initiative.
