In order to support the Government of Sierra Leone in the fight against the Coronavirus, the Ministry of Works and Public Assets and Sierra Leone Roads Authority has held fruitful negotiation with the China Railway Seventh Group striking a deal for the public particularly road users plying the Wellington Masiaka highway with a reduction of tariff for a 90 days period.
This comes as a result of the adverse effect of COVID-19 on the socio-economic development of the country, and its consequences on economic hardship on the public. The policy came into effect on 17 April 2020 6:00 am will end 15 July 2020 23:59 then reverting to the normal/original toll tariff.
