With Opening of Customer Care Shop in Kambia… Qcell Fulfills Promise

Qcell, Sierra Leone’s fastest growing and most affordable telecommunications company, has once again demonstrated its commitment to customer satisfaction by officially opening a customer care shop in the heart of Kambia District.

The new facility is aimed at ensuring residents of Kambia can conveniently access Qcell products and services, including SIM registration, airtime purchase, customer support, and QMoney transactions, without the need to travel long distances.

The opening of the shop fulfills a promise made by Qcell during a town hall meeting held at the Kambia District Council Hall, where community members and key stakeholders appealed to the company to establish a customer care center in the district. During that engagement, Qcell’s Chief Executive Officer assured residents that their request would be implemented a promise now delivered.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Honourable Abdul Karim Kamara (AKK) commended Qcell for honoring its commitment and for continuously working to make communication more accessible and affordable across Sierra Leone.

“This shop is a major step forward in improving access to communication services for the people of Kambia, with this facility, our people now have the privilege of accessing Qcell products and services with ease, which is very essential for development.” AKK said

He further urged community members to provide the necessary support and security to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the office.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Mohamed Kamara, a stakeholder in the district, praised Qcell for responding to the long standing request of the people of Kambia.

“For a very long time, the people of Kambia have been yearning to have a Qcell office at their doorstep. Today, that dream has been fulfilled, just as promised during the town hall meeting, this clearly shows that Qcell is here to serve the people of this country. We, the people of Kambia, will give the company all the support needed to ensure the smooth running of its business.

Mr. Kamara encouraged Qcell to consider employing young people from the district, noting that such opportunities would further strengthen trust and confidence among the local population.

Representatives of the Qcell team expressed gratitude to Honourable AKK, the Mayor of Kambia, Paramount Chiefs, and other stakeholders for welcoming the company and granting it the opportunity to operate in the district. They assured residents that the Kambia customer care office would offer the same range of services available in Freetown, supported by upgraded equipment and trained staff.

“The office is fully functional and open to everyone who wishes to do business with Qcell, join the network, or inquire about our products and services,” a Qcell representative stated.

They emphasized that the new customer care office will serve as a one stop service center, providing SIM registration, customer support, mobile services, and QMoney transactions. The initiative is expected to significantly improve service delivery while reducing the burden on customers who previously had to travel outside the district for assistance.

The event also featured a QMoney sensitization session, during which customers were educated on the benefits of using QMoney for secure money transfers, bill payments, and everyday transactions. Attendees were encouraged to dial *323# to experience the convenience of QMoney
